· Heat shrinkable tube is now a kind of protective sleeve commonly used in all walks of life. It has the function of shortening when heat is encountered. Compared with electrical tape, it has longer service life, durable and stable performance, and anti-aging effect.  For this kind of simple material, it is not so handy in the application. Different problems will also appear when wrapping products. Today, we will discuss with you how to use heat shrinkable tubes and common problems.

1.Definition of heat shrink tubing
· Under normal circumstances, the material of heat shrink tube is polyolefin, and the diameter will be reduced after heating.  Its diameter and thickness vary with the size of the caliber.  Because the expansion process is different, its expansion rate, shrinkage rate will be different, the normal is two times, of course, but also three times, four times or higher.  Electrical engineering wire conductor connection and wire joint connection often use heat shrink tubing, insulation protection and protection.  Can also be used to bind wire, used to protect the wire and small terminals, can increase the sealing of electrical junction box.

2.Application of heat shrinkable tub
ing
Place the heat shrinkable tube at the wire connection and heat it with a heat gun or similar tool. If you don't have these tools, you can also use a lighter or soldering iron (close but not in contact), which is easy to shrink, but less effective. The irregular shape of the joint can be used with a high shrinkage heat shrink casing (conventional heat shrink casing shrinkage ratio is 2:1). This provides not only good electrical insulation, but also isolation from dust, solvents and other foreign bodies. If too much heat is applied, the heat shrink tubes, like other plastics, will melt and burn when heated too high.

3.Material for heat shrinkable tubing
· Polyolefin heat shrinkable tubes are the most common type, with maximum continuous service temperatures ranging from -55 to 125° C, and are used in military, aviation and rail industries. They can be flexible and quickly shrink, and the product has a wide range of colors (including transparent), suitable for various colors of wire. They tend to have lower UV resistance in addition to black, which is only recommended for outdoor use. The common shrinkage ratio is 2:1, while high quality polyolefin thermal shrinkage can be in 3:1.
