The heat shrink band series products are actually designed for anti-corrosion of welded joints in steel pipelines and insulation repair of insulated pipelines. Like heat shrink tubing, it is composed of radiation cross-linked polyolefin substrate and special sealing hot melt adhesive. The special sealing hot melt adhesive can form good adhesion with polyolefin substrate, steel pipe surface, and solid epoxy coating. Heat shrink tape, also known as looper in the industry, is generally used in conjunction with rubber strips and fixing plates compared to dead set heat shrink tubing. Compared to heat shrink tubing, the production technology of heat shrink tape is relatively simpler and more convenient for terminal use.

The commonly seen heat shrink tapes in the market are 1kV, 10kV, and 35kV. The standard for 1kV low-pressure heat shrink tapes is 10 meters per roll, while the main for high-pressure ones is 5 meters per roll. The standard colors are mainly red, yellow, green, and black, and the product color and trial range basically meet the needs of users.

Main applications:

Anti condensation, anti pollution flashover, and anti-corrosion treatment for the busbar of the substation switchgear; Insulation protection measures for grounding curves or other charged bodies to prevent foreign object overlap, prevent personal injury accidents, and prevent short circuit faults in small animals; Local repair of cable outer protective layer damaged by mechanical damage, burning, or organic solvent erosion; Waterproof sealing treatment for the sheath end of the intermediate joint of heat shrink cables; Composite insulation treatment for any charged body with insufficient or equal distance from the ground; Black is used for repairing damaged cable sheaths, with good sealing and adhesive properties to form a complete repair system.

When the heat shrink tape is installed during heating, the substrate of the heat shrink tape shrinks radially, and the internal composite adhesive layer of the heat shrink tape melts, tightly covering the joint and forming a solid anti-corrosion body outside the pipeline. At the same time, it has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and good UV and photo aging resistance.
